One of my biggest accomplishments as an endurance athlete was training for the 2015 BC Bike Race—a grueling 7-day staged mountain bike race. I dedicated nine months to training, and every bit of that work paid off. Crossing the finish line each day was an incredible reminder of just how strong and capable the body can become with consistency, determination, and grit.

Sports and Injury Rehab Massage Therapist
As a lifelong athlete and outdoor enthusiast, I’ve experienced my fair share of knee injuries—one in 2019 being especially significant and ultimately becoming the catalyst for change. That journey led me to massage school and eventually to becoming certified in NeuroKinetic Therapy. I know firsthand what it feels like to be sidelined by injury and how long and challenging the road to recovery can be. Returning to the activities you love—and doing them with as little pain as possible—isn’t easy.
In the moment, it can feel frustrating and discouraging, but those experiences have a way of making you stronger. My own comeback gave me a deeper appreciation for what my body is capable of and everything it allows me to do. I didn’t grow up playing organized sports—I simply loved being outside. My passion for cycling began with road biking, evolved into riding dirt bikes, and eventually expanded to include mountain biking as well.
